Frequently Asked Questions
[img]Panacea asked: "I've decided to buy this camera (anyone know of a better price than $650 after rebate?). However, my knowledge about storage media is not current and I could use some help deciding on what memory I should get for it initially.
The specs say that it supports both Memory Stick (including Pro) and Compact Flash storage (type I or II) and also supports FAT32 for cards greater than 2GB (I'm assuming they are talking about micrdrives here).
So, what's the difference for these types of media. Bearing in mind that this is a 10 megapixel camera that support RAW format, what would be the best choice for casual usage that costs a reasonable amount. Would a half gig card be sufficient or would I be better off with a 1 gig card? I can't see myself storing more than a 100 photos at a time on the unit. I prefer to max out the quality of my shots. Are there any speed issues for various types of memory?
I would especially love hearing from someone who owns this camera. What do you think of it"
